The Scottish Football Record Master Glasgow Rangers has committed the Dutch Giovanni van Bronckhorst (46) as a new team manager. That made the club known on Thursday. The former national player enters the successor of Steven Gerrard, subject to a work permit, who had left the club last week after three and a half years towards Aston Villa. Van Bronckhorst had already played for the Scots from 1998 to 2001 and became master twice. I am delighted to return to the Rangers as a new manager, said Van Bronckhorst: I have the great luck to work with a team that stands well in every way.
